My Big Catch!!!!

Over the weekend my parents came camping with Matt and I. It was really fun to go on the 4-wheelers and then play some golf. After they left Matt and I decided to try and catch a fish or two for dinner. There is a small creek that we like to walk up and fish in. The fish usually are pretty small but are perfect for dinner. So Matt threw his line in and within 10 seconds had caught a pretty average fish (about 12 inches long). We figured we would keep it incase we didn't catch anything else and he would eat it for dinner. So now it was my turn...I threw my line out to the same spot two times and didn't even get a bite. Matt told me that we needed to move because the fish were scared in that spot but I said wait I'm going to catch one right here! The next time I threw my line out I had this big guy on my line within 5 seconds. It was so exciting. We measured him and he is 19 inches long!

Happy 50th Dad!

We decided as a family that 50 is a pretty important birthday for our dad. We threw him a late suprise party at our house. He had no idea and I think he was pretty excited. Bret, Drew, and Jan all provided the black banners and 50th balloons, while Matt and I made him a steak dinner. It was really fun to have all of us together!

23 weeks and counting...

Well, I am 23 weeks along so I thought I would post the first picture we have of me actually looking pregnant. I know it still isn't much but atleast I am starting to show a little. I actually feel like I am in that stage where people ask themselves, "is she pregnant or is she just kinda chubby?" I hate this stage. Everything is still going well though so we are really happy about that!

Home away from home...

Anyone that knows Matt and I also knows how much we love camping. We decided that it was time to invest in our hobby. We bought this 1984 camping trailer after my graduation and have been loving it for the past few weekends. I am really excited to not be sleeping in a tent anymore!!!

We are definately having a BOY!

After our ultra-sound on Friday Matt and I were excited to find out that we are in fact expecting a baby BOY! The lady doing the ultra-sound actually laughed at how obvious it was. He has no problem showing off his "manhood" as you can see in the picture below. We actually have a whole bunch of pictures of him posing like this first one:)



For some reason he also really liked having his feet up by his face so almost every picture we got of him he is in this position. I guess I am really grateful baby's get cuter when they are born because as this last picture shows...they are kinda creepy right now! JK



Everything is going great with him though, and he is looking healthy. We are really grateful for that!

For everyone else that has been asking this next picture is of my huge pregnant belly!!! Its kinda funny, if I push it out then it looks like I am pregnant but I guess we could have hid it this entire time!

Boy or Girl?

Well in just two days we will find out whether we are having a boy or a girl. We are both really excited and anxious to know! I think that Matt is probably a little nervous just because he wants a boy so bad...he says he wants a "lil' partner" Either way I know he will be a great dad! We will let everyone know what the news is and hopefully have some more pictures to put on this thing! So far everything else is going good and I am finally starting to feel the baby move a little bit, that is always re-assuring!

Our Baby!

Well, if you look really close, you can see our little baby Oakey. I know he/she does not really look like a baby yet, but it is still exciting! We are 12 weeks along, so we have a long ways to go but are really excited! I am due on October 25th!
