Our PRINCESS' blessing day

Ryan loves to call his baby sister "princess."  It might be one of the cutest things ever (I'll try and get a video of it sometime).  Well, we blessed our princess this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we had so much family there to support us. Both my parents and Matt parents were there in addition to Matt's Grandma, my Grandma and Grandpa Allen, Matt's sisters and their families, my brother Drew, his wife Chelsea, and her sister Haley.  Sorry we missed Grandma and Grandpa Dodo. Thanks to everyone that came and was able to share this day with Halle.

My mom's mom (grandma Dodo) had saved the dress that my mom and I were blessed in. So naturally, Halle got to wear the same dress that was over 50 years old. It was cool to hear people ask about it. So many people thought it was a new "vintage" style dress because it was in such amazing condition. It fit her perfectly so she in turn looked adorable.

Matt gave her such a special blessing. I feel so lucky to have such a worthy husband that honors his priesthood. I love listening to baby blessings as each one is so unique. Matt mentioned a few things like the importance of getting a good education, having courage, finding a nice young man to marry in the future. All in all it really was a wonderful blessing.

After the blessing we all went to the park and had a little picnic in her honor. Luckily the weather is still warm enough we could enjoy the outdoors.
